College Transition
Success Coaching
Your child opened their acceptance months ago and they've been in a dream state ever since. But with the college drop-off date soon approaching, doubts have crept in. Perhaps...

-
They're headed to a competitive institution where opportunities won't be handed to them. Can they find mentors, clubs, and research opportunities to reach their goals?
-
They have their eyes set on an alternative major. Can they easily transition to a new department?
-
They want to attend grad school in the future. Will they have supportive advisors to navigate the next competitive admissions process?
-
They had senioritis this past spring. Will those rocky grades continue?
-
They relied on you for time management in high school. Do they have the executive functioning skills to wake up on time and meet all their deadlines?
-
Their mental health has been shaky at times. Will they have the right support systems at their new institution to be happy and healthy?
They need a trio of support

Meet Karen
Karen has held multiple roles in her thirty years at Harvard, most recently as Associate Dean of the Harvard Summer School. Prior, she was a Resident Dean at Harvard, and directed undergraduate studies in two Harvard departments. She has supported thousands of students in declaring majors, applying for fellowships, studying abroad, rebounding from academic failures, connecting to supportive resources to overcome obstacles, and more.

Karen graduated summa cum laude from Yale, before earning her PhD in American Studies from Harvard. She holds additional certificates in educational coaching and coaching students with learning and attention issues.

Meet Jennifer
Jennifer is the Dean of Academic Advising for the School of Engineering at Tufts University, where she supports thousands of students each year in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Prior to joining Tufts, Jennifer was a Dean and Professor of Computer Science at Wellesley College for over two decades. While there, Jennifer created double degree and certificate programs for her students at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Olin College of Engineering, and helped hundreds more pursue co-curricular activities and classes at both institutions.
Jennifer holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins and an MS and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon.

You know Marcella
Prior to Marcella's experience in admissions at the University of Chicago and Berkeley, she graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with her AB in English.
She was admitted to all four institutions to which she applied for her master's degree: Columbia University, Northwestern University, New York University, and Stanford University (where she attended with a large scholarship).

She has seen students rise and fall at highly prestigious and rigorous institutions, and she knows how essential it is to have mentors in your child's corner, empowering their success.
